Cheryl (Pelman) & Bruce Ackerman

Cheryl Pelman Ackerman was born on July 6, 1950 in Williamsburg Brooklyn New York.  Shortly after that her family moved to the Bronx.   Cheryl married Bruce Ackerman in August of 1973.  They moved to North Carolina where Bruce attended college for 2 years before returning to Brooklyn to complete his education at Brooklyn College.  Cheryl graduated from City College Of New York with a teaching degree. 

In 1979 they moved to Louisiana when Bruce was commissioned in the Air Force as a 2nd Lieutenant.  From there they did a lot of moving around.  Their oldest daughter Stefanie Jill was born in 1980 in Bossier City, Louisiana.  Afterwards, they moved to Portsmith, New Hampshire.  It was there that their youngest daughter Robyn Lynn was born in 1982.

After a few more moves they settled in Riverside, California. They lived there for 20 years while Bruce traveled with the Air Force.  Cheryl taught geology and was a high school principal before she retired at the age of 55 in June of 2005. 

As of May 2007 Cheryl & Bruce are living in Hilton Head, South Carolina.
